This is really terrific. A brilliantly crafted storyline, and the illustrations are stunning. I'm really looking forward to Alex's next adventure. Can't wait for the movie(s)!
The Stellesrian was a great find not only is the artwork first class but the this is an inventive telling of the great hero's story of self discovery; with a twist. This should be a contemporary masterpiece. I hope the author and artist have many other tales still to tell.
Fans of "The Hunger Games" and sci-fi stories will love this book. The narrative grabs you right away and the illustrations are awesome and pull you in. I relished each page. A real visual treat. Makes a great holiday gift for all all ages.
I'm not typically a fan of graphic novels in general, but this book was well constructed. The illustration and story worked fluidly together. I liked it.
I got this for my 13 yo son. He was a bit disappointed in the graphics and found them a bit confusing and gruesome in parts, but he enjoyed the unusual storyline. The misuse of God's name is unnecessary to the plot. There is potential for a good sequel.
An adult friend recommended this. He may have gotten it for his nephew. Like my friend, I don't ordinarily read graphic novels. I liked the themes, the story, the dialog and the art in this one.
The art and viewing/reading experience are great on the Fire.
I wish would fix the following reader problem. This product won't work on my second generation iPad app. It also won't work my son's one day old paperwhite , even though magazines we subscribe to work just fine. The magazine photos are good in black and white, even though they are color photos.
Pretty nifty beginning to the series. Shows a lot of promise, though I have to say that the "surprises" weren't very surprising...but I am looking forward to see where it goes. If you are a fan of the dystopian fiction driving young adult series, you'll probably go for this.
